Last week I was invited to attend a MILLY Minis book reading event featuring Children’s author, Jeanine Behr Getz. While I currently don’t have any little girls to dress up in MILLY’s adorable girl’s line, I do have an appreciation for brands that take such an intimate approach to connecting with their customers.
In light of Earth Day being this Friday, MILLY invited the author of the award-winning children’s book, Think Green, to read to mom’s and their kids at their Madison Avenue boutique. A light-hearted, interactive and colorful introduction to 16 ways kids can think about helping to keep the earth clean and safe for all people and animals! Jeanine shared with me that she’s.. “…all about encouraging the “trickle-up method; where, when children are exposed to ways they can help better their environments, they can teach/inspire their parents to do the same.” I couldn’t agree more!
Jeanine came equipped with non-toxic markers for the kids to create permanent mini-masterpieces on their own re-usable organic cotton napkins. Guests were also treated to mimosas, apple juice, and cupcakes!
Just an all around relaxing time filled with the connecting of families, friends, food and beautiful clothes to bring awareness to a great cause! Bravo, MILLY team and Jeanine!
